Charlotte Hornets: LiAngelo Ball will provide shooting to the Swarm

Without a doubt, Ball’s strongest skill in the summer league was his shooting.

Three-point shooting was not a strong suit for the Swarm last season, shooting 33%. Ball’s shooting ability will be a useful tool Greensboro can take advantage of this season.

In his debut game against the Trailblazers summer league team, Ball scored 16 points, shooting 5-8 from behind the arc, proving if he gets hot, he can light it up.

Let’s be honest, aside from shooting, Ball does not provide much else. He is a decent rebounder, and he can make shots off the dribble well enough, but not at a high enough level to get anywhere…yet.

Balls shooting carried him this far, but that does not mean he will not get better at other things while in Greensboro. The Swarm has gained a reputation for developing guys into solid NBA players.

Ball will be a tough job for the developmental staff in Greensboro, but with a reliable jump shot and a solid work ethic, you can go anywhere, which leads to reason No. 2.
