No. 4: White Home Jersey (2014-2020)

This selection is less about the actual design of the jersey and more about what it represents to the franchise. After a decade of being known as the Charlotte Bobcats, the “Hornets” name and branding returned in 2014. After watching their team relocate to New Orleans in 2002, Charlotte could finally celebrate a return to their NBA roots.

The renaming had an immediate impact, as merchandise sales increased by 77% and new season ticket sales were the second-highest of any team. These jerseys did an excellent job of incorporating aspects of the original Hornets jerseys, namely the iconic purple and teal color scheme, while also introducing new features such as the stinger detail on the jersey lettering.
