No. 2: Mint “Buzz City” City Edition Jersey (2020-2021)

Jerseys that incorporate elements of local history automatically endear themselves to fans, and the City Edition jersey from 2020-21 is no different. Charlotte’s history as the home of the first U.S. Branch Mint as well as the region’s history from the Carolina Gold Rush in the early 19th century is the inspiration for this jersey.

The granite color for the numbers, letters, and pinstripes pays homage to granite being the state rock of North Carolina. The pinstripes are designed with ridges like those on a coin, while the “C” found on the waistband is meant to reflect those found on coins from the Charlotte mint.

On top of all of that, the jerseys themselves look excellent, with the mint, gold, and granite color scheme blending nicely to create a great jersey.
