The Charlotte Hornets have created a buzz with its hot start to the season. Five games in and the team’s record sits at 4-1.

Charlotte Hornets: 4 reasons for a hot 4-1 start

Charlotte captured wins over Indiana, Cleveland and Brooklyn before falling to Boston in overtime. The team bounced back Wednesday night with a win over Orlando.

The Hornets are off to its best start since the 2016-17 season when they started 6-1. That team did not stick the landing finishing the season 36-46, but thankfully this is a different Hornets team.

Charlotte has looked impressive this season. Even in its lone loss, the Hornets controlled the game until the closing minutes. The team does not quit and plays a style of basketball not many teams can keep up with.

The key for Charlotte to make the playoffs is to keep doing what it is doing. If they can sustain this level of play, they are worthy of a playoff spot.

The team is 4-1 because of the things it is doing right. In all of its wins, the Hornets were the better team.
