Reason #2 – There are two young stars in Charlotte in Miles Bridges and LaMelo Ball.

Part of the reason that the Charlotte Hornets are so fun is because of their young talent – specifically guard LaMelo Ball and forward Miles Bridges. Those two players becoming as good as they are has catapulted the Hornets’ potential ceiling as a team, meaning it’s possible they finish as a solid playoff team this year.

LaMelo Ball, himself, won the NBA’s rookie of the year award last season – something that is usually an indicator of future stardom – and Ball has looked improved since he won that award, averaging 20 points, six rebounds, and six assists so far this season.

Miles Bridges, as well, is currently making a run at the NBA’s most improved player award – as a 23-year old combo forward. He always brings high-flying dunks in addition to phenomenal shooting, good interior scoring, and solid complementary passing.

Between those two stars in Ball and Bridges and the other surrounding talent, Charlotte’s future and present are both bright – and things are looking up for a team that was once consistently ranked among the worst in the NBA.

PJ Washington, Gordon Hayward, and Terry Rozier are all excellent rotational pieces in addition to Ball and Bridges – and there’s plenty of reason to be excited about the future of the Charlotte Hornets considering the talent at hand.
