Storylines in Charlotte Hornets at Atlanta Hawks

The Charlotte Hornets are among the top-5 seeds in the Eastern Conference currently, with one of the toughest schedules played to this point in the season. The Hawks have had a slow start, just one offseason removed from an Eastern Conference finals appearance. Their season has been off track thus far, they’ll be looking to gain some momentum against a red-hot Hornets team.

Trae Young is averaging 25 points and nine assists this season so far, while LaMelo Ball is averaging 20 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists. It should be a battle between two of the best point guards in the league – with each team having a good amount of complementary players as well.

The Atlanta Hawks have not played a basketball game since Wednesday night – and three consecutive days of rest is something the Charlotte Hornets have not yet had this season. The Hornets, coming out of playing a game last night, will likely have a little less in the tank than Atlanta. If things come down to overtime, the Hawks should have a significant rest advantage.
