The Charlotte Hornets are one of the most promising teams in the NBA – they have a tremendous amount of talent – mostly led by star guard LaMelo Ball.

The NBA is in a unique spot currently – there is more young talent than ever in the league, and it has been on full display this season.

There are a lot of teams that have a young star – but the Hornets may have two of them – the aforementioned LaMelo Ball, and Miles Bridges, who has really been showing out this season, averaging 22 points, eight rebounds, and three assists per game.

Now, before we can get into whether the Hornets have a top-3 young core in the NBA, we have to define what constitutes such a thing.

For today’s exercise, we’ll say that a player has to be on their rookie contract to be included. So Brandon Ingram, John Collins, and Jonathan Isaac will not be counted.

Alright, now that we have that sorted, let’s go ahead and take, like, 70-percent of the league out of contention here. The Hornets have a better young core, simply by having LaMelo Ball, than the majority of NBA teams.
