Muggsy Bogues – (1988-99)

As the shortest player in NBA history at just 5-foot-3, Bogues made a name for himself during his 10-year tenure with the Charlotte Hornets.

Bogues was never an all-star but was one of the league’s more exciting players during the 90s, especially playing the way he did at his height.

In Charlotte, Bogues averaged 8.8 points on 46.6 percent shooting, 2.9 rebounds, 8.8 assists and 1.7 steals in 632 games.

Bogues leads the team in all-time assist with 5,557 and was known for his speed and quickness.

Had Bogues been taller, who knows how much better his scoring ability could have been.

In 1994, he became the first Charlotte player to average a points-assists double-double for an entire NBA season, and no player in the franchise has done it since.

The Hornets made the playoffs four times during Bogues’ career in the Queen City.
