Charlotte Hornets player grades through the first quarter of the season
The Charlotte Hornets are now 26 games through their season so now seems like a good time to check in to see just how each player is grading out so far this year.
It’s been an eventful start to the season, to say the least. The Hornets currently sit at 14-12, which is currently good enough for the 8th seed in the Eastern Conference. Charlotte has had some massive wins so far, beating teams like the Golden State Warriors, Atlanta Hawks, and a red-hot Washington Wizards team who has since cooled off.
They have also lost a couple of must-win games to the likes of the Houston Rockets and Sacramento Kings. Outside of those games, there haven’t been too many ‘easy’ games on the schedule so far as the Hornets have had the third-highest strength of schedule to this point this season.
It’s safe to say that this is a team that can beat and lose to anybody.

With that said, you can say this team is currently exceeding expectations. The rise of LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges as solidified stars in the NBA is a welcoming sight and rotation players like Cody Martin and Kelly Oubre Jr. have taken massive leaps to help this team win some important ball games.
It’s hard to be too upset with how this team as a whole has been performing at this point in the season. They could really use some help on the interior and there have been a few hiccups, but this Hornets team goes out and competes to win every single night and as a fan, it’s hard to ask for much more than that.
With that said, let’s dive into how each member of the Hornets core roster has graded out so far this season.
