Charlotte Hornets: 3 trades with the Indiana Pacers

Myles Turner does have THIS kind of value. He’s playing at an extremely high level, and the Pacers are going to look to get everything possible if they end up dealing him. Turner, this season, is averaging 13 points, eight rebounds, and three blocks per game along with 40-percent 3-point shooting.

In today’s NBA, that is impossible to come by, and he would be the perfect role player to add to a team that desperately needs shot-blocking. Giving up Kai Jones this early in his career would not be easy – but it is important to remember that he is not going to affect winning any time soon in his career – and the Hornets are good sooner than expected.

The biggest loss in this trade would be PJ Washington – who is the Hornets’ best post defender. However, with the addition of Myles Turner, his role would be mitigated anyways – especially since he is looking to get a contract extension this offseason (along with several other young Hornets).

The Hornets, following this deal, would have a starting five of Ball-Rozer-Hayward-Bridges-Turner with a bench unit of Smith-Bouknight-Martin-McDaniels-Plumlee. That’s really good, and if Bouknight and Thor continue to improve, the bench could be better than it seems here.
