Charlotte Hornets: 3 trades with the Indiana Pacers

So, I think the question you’re probably going to ask yourself after seeing the two Myles Turner trades is:

"“Is there any way the Hornets could get Turner without giving up one of PJ Washington or James Bouknight?”"

And the answer is no. The Pacers are going to want a young asset to head into a rebuild, which means the players they are most interested in are those two, Kai Jones, and any draft picks the Hornets have to offer. Whether general manager Mitch Kupchak is willing to pay the price is a question in itself, but the Hornets seemingly would have more interest than other teams when it comes to making a Myles Turner trade happen.

The Indiana Pacers aren’t going to accept pennies on the dollar for players they have spent years developing and clearly believe in.

So it comes down to how much value are you willing to give up to improve the Hornets this season. Trading for win-now players can be an interesting thought process – especially when there is still so much room to grow for several players on the Charlotte Hornets.

Next. Kelly Oubre is proving to be pivotal for the Charlotte Hornets success. dark

We have not really seen Mitch Kupchak take the initiative to find a center that meshes with the long-term core – but then again – there has not been a reason to make such a move until this season began.
