Jalen McDaniels – SF

Last year at this time, we began to see the potential of Jalen McDaniels and while he trickled off for a bit, he’s starting to play pretty well again when it’s needed most with Hornets missing time due to COVID.

McDaniels has already played in a majority of the team’s games this season, so having him listed here is more expecting to see his minutes increase because of the offensive and defensive presence that he has provided.

In a spot start with Miles Bridges out, McDaniels scored a season-high 16 points on Monday night, making it at least a little bit interesting for James Borrego and how much more he should use McDaniels.

However, fellow forward Cody Martin has been a huge surprise for Charlotte this year and that could impact McDaniels’ playing time.

But I’m predicting here that Charlotte’s rotation will soon be different after the trade deadline, opening up even more minutes for the third-year pro.

If McDaniels can improve his agility and keep up with the team’s fast pace, we should see him even more in 2022.
