The Charlotte Hornets take on the Milwaukee Bucks at home at 7 p.m. Eastern tonight. The Bucks are coming off of a win last night against the Brooklyn Nets while the Hornets last played the Detroit Pistons on Wednesday.

The Hornets are coming off of their biggest win of the season, besting Detroit by 39 points. With a huge rest advantage against a shorthanded Bucks team, there seems to be a decent chance Charlotte could steal this game away.

The Hornets finally have a healthy roster, with all major rotational players off of the injury report.

Charlotte Hornets odds vs Milwaukee Bucks

Storylines for Charlotte Hornets vs Milwaukee Bucks

As stated, the Hornets have a major rest advantage against the Milwaukee Bucks tonight – so taking advantage of fresh legs has to be of the essence if Charlotte wants to upset the 3rd seed in the Eastern Conference.

In his only game against the Hornets this season so far, Giannis Antetokounmpo had a stat line of 40 points, 12 rebounds, and nine assists on 24 total shots. Slowing him down is going to be a tough task, especially considering how poor the defense has been this year for the Charlotte Hornets.

The All-Star race is heating up, and there’s a three-way race for the final Eastern Conference backcourt spots between LaMelo Ball, Fred VanVleet, and Darius Garland. Ball is averaging 19 points, seven rebounds, and eight assists on splits of 42/38/88 this season and is the Hornets’ best player. Whether that is enough to get him in the All-Star game remains to be seen – but we will find out soon.
