The Charlotte Hornets take on the Boston Celtics in Boston at 7:30 p.m. est on Wednesday night. The Hornets should be well-rested, having not played in two days since Sunday’s loss to the LA Clippers.

Boston is coming off a 122-92 win against the Miami Heat on Monday. Miami was very much short-handed in that game, missing both Kyle Lowry and Jimmy Butler, but at the end of the day, this win helps Boston gain ground on Charlotte who sits just 1.5 games behind the 7th seeded Hornets.

Odds for Charlotte Hornets at Boston Celtics

Charlotte heads into Boston as 6-point underdogs to the Celtics, according to WynnBet. This is a little bit disrespectful to Charlotte who recently beat Boston 111-102  the last time the two faced off. Charlotte has been a little rocky as of late but Boston hasn’t exactly looked like championship contenders. A player props to take a look at is total points for LaMelo Ball and Miles Bridges, both at 20.5. These guys love a challenge. One of, if not both, is sure to show out tonight.

Storylines for Charlotte Hornets at Boston Celtics

This will be game three for the Hornets and Celtics. As the season continues to progress, it’s likely these two teams either see each other in the Play-In Tournament or beat the other for the 6th seed. Taking a 2-1 lead tonight will be crucial for both teams.

Kelly Oubre Jr. has missed the last few games due to an ankle sprain and it’s become clear how much this team has relied on his bench scoring. It doesn’t help that the Hornets also have been missing Gordon Hayward, but Oubre specifically has provided an insane spark to this team. If he returns tonight that will be a breath of fresh air for a Hornets team who has struggled to find scoring outside of their star players.
