LaMelo Ball’s All-Star appearance and Miles Bridges’ continued rise certainly qualify as great moments. However, Isaiah Thomas’ arrival in Charlotte was an unexpected development that turned out well for both parties. Thomas’ story is well documented, as the former MVP candidate has spent time playing on 10-day contracts and has played in the G League. Thomas found a home as the veteran presence on a young Hornets team, helping Charlotte to a 13-6 finish to the regular season after his signing. In the 13 games prior to his arrival, the Hornets were just 2-11 and appeared on the verge of collapse. Whether Thomas returns to the Hornets next season or not, his contributions this season have etched him into the hearts of the Hornets faithful.

The best moment must come from the best player. The highlight of Ball’s season came when he was selected to be an NBA All-Star, replacing an injured Kevin Durant. Ball made the most of his time in the spotlight, playing 22 minutes and finishing as the third-leading scorer for Team Durant. He also recorded three assists, three rebounds and three steals. Ball has been in the spotlight from an early age and proved that he belonged on the All-Star stage.

The All-Star game is up there for me as well. LaMelo was destined to become an All-Star at some point but seeing him compete with the league’s best and be one of the game’s best players while doing it makes it a special moment for our team. The stage was not too bright for the Hornets young star, and he made this team and city proud with that performance.

Miles Bridges’ 38 point, 12 rebound, 5 assist performance at Madison Square Garden against the New York Knicks was an absolute blast to watch. That game showcased every fun part about Miles’ game, with outrageous dunks, crafty finishes, tough midrange shots, and a few highly contested three-pointers. Watching a player from your favorite team explode at the “Mecca of Basketball” is always satisfying. Devonte’ Graham hit a game-winner in New York in 2019, and Miles recorded his career-high there this January.
