Charlotte Hornets NBA Draft Profile: Jeremy Sochan

Fit with the Hornets and Overall Assessment:

The potential of Sochan is intriguing and the Hornets already are crowded at the forward position, but with Sochan’s versatility, he would be able to fit in with most lineups the Hornets would choose to run with. His ability to play defense will translate to the NBA, and the Hornets need a solid young defender badly. There’s no guarantee that he would see the floor immediately, but based on his abilities as a defender, it wouldn’t be long before he cracked the rotation based on Hornets teams from years past. LaMelo Ball would surely find him with easy-to-make buckets, including some pick-and-roll alley-oops. Overall, Sochan would fit into the Charlotte Hornets organization nicely.

Projection:

Sochan has been projected mainly in the middle of the lottery ranging from picks 7-15. With how versatile Sochan is, it’s hard to predict what team would draft him. There’s a good chance Sochan is gone before the Hornets pick at 13, but if he’s there for the taking, they should heavily consider it.
