The Charlotte Hornets are in an interesting position heading into the 2022 NBA Draft. With the top prospects, Chet Holmgren, Paolo Banchero, and Jabari Smith, slated to be off the board well before the Hornets pick at 13 and 15, the possibility of a trade is more likely than not.

For Charlotte, the team is without a coach heading into the Draft. By acquiring a top pick in this year’s Draft, the Hornets could not only unload a couple of veteran contracts, but they could also draw an entirely new group of coaching candidates.

With that being said, trading for a top pick this close to the Draft is almost unheard of. If Charlotte is going to pull the trigger, who should they target?

Next. Chet Holmgren?. dark
