As a part of our series detailing which players the Charlotte Hornets should target in NBA free agency, our attention shifts to the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls finished with a 46-36 record, which earned them a 6th-place finish in the Eastern Conference.

Completely retooling their roster for this season, Chicago got off to a red-hot start, but injuries caught up to them in the playoffs. The Bulls lost to the Milwaukee Bucks in five games in the first round.

With Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Nikola Vucevic, Lonzo Ball, Alex Caruso, and company, the Bulls have a talented roster. This offseason will determine whether or not they are going to become title-contenders or regular season heroes yet again.

As an All-Star player, LaVine would be one of the hardest players to procure in this season’s free agent market (almost definitely needing a sign-and-trade to make the money work), but he is by far the biggest name in this class of Chicago free agents and the one that would fit best in Charlotte in 2022-23.
