Thomas Bryant

Even after drafting Mark Williams with the 15th pick in the draft, the Hornets could do well to add another center to their current rotation of Williams and Mason Plumlee. Enter Thomas Bryant, a talented big man who is reportedly looking to leave the Washington Wizards.

Bryant had been on an upward trajectory until a torn ACL in January of 2021 derailed his season. He returned to play in 27 games last season but struggled to find his rhythm upon his return. A career 35% three-point shooter, Bryant would provide floor spacing in a way that Williams and Plumlee would not. Bryant will be only 25 years old at the beginning of next season, and while Williams projects to be Charlotte’s long-term starter at center, Bryant could be an upgrade over Plumlee from a depth perspective and could more easily become a long-term piece of the roster.
