Ty-Shon Alexander, a Charlotte native, will be making an appearance in this year’s Summer League after playing in Italy Serie A. After a successful three-year career at Creighton, Alexander had a short stint with the Phoenix Suns, but has not been able to make it onto an NBA roster since then.

While at Creighton, Alexander was known for his scoring ability and his ability to create offense, but that has been a struggle ever since adjusting to the speed of professional basketball. He did have decent success in the G-League, especially from three-point range where he shot 38.8%.

With the Hornets having a need for guard depth, Summer League is a big opportunity for Alexander. He has some flexibility in being a combo guard, so the Hornets may monitor him during the Summer League. However, Alexander is likely on the outside looking for getting an opportunity with the Hornets’ roster.
