Dennis Schröder

Dennis Schröder has been in the league since 2013 after being drafted by the Atlanta Hawks in the first round at pick number 17 overall. Schröder has played for the Atlanta Hawks, Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Lakers, Boston Celtics and, most recently, the Houston Rockets.

He’s been quite consistent over the years averaging 14.2 points per game, with 4.7 assists per game, and 2.9 rebounds per game while shooting 43.6 percent from the field and 33.8 percent from three point range for his career so far.

Schröder has come off the bench and been a starter in this league. In the 2019-2020 season, Schröder was the Oklahoma City Thunder’s sixth man and ended the season as the runner-up for the sixth man of the year award.

Last season, Schröder played for the Houston Rockets tallying 15 games played with four starts. He averaged 10.9 points per game with 5.9 assists per game and 3.3 rebounds per game. Schröder sustained a shoulder injury that put him out for the rest of the season.

Schröder still has a lot of value in this league, and the Hornets would be an interesting fit as he would be a solid addition to the rotation, especially given that he is a player that is still only 28 years old. He could bring in some valuable veteran experience who has a decent amount of playoff experience as well. Overall, Schröder would make the Hornets a better team and solidify the role of backup point guard.
