In addition to retaining four incumbent assistants from former head coach James Borrego’s staff, the Hornets will have five new additions to the staff for the coming season.

Tyrone Corbin, Bob Beyer, Rex Walters, Bruce Kreutzer, and Brian O’Connor will all be joining the organization this season, pushing the total number of Hornets assistants to nine. While this is a larger staff than last season, it is not without precedent; last season, the Detroit Pistons and Utah Jazz had 11 assistants each, while the Los Angeles Clippers had nine assistants.

With several new faces on staff, it is pertinent to examine what each individual will add to the overall coaching staff.
