Bob Beyer

Like Corbin, Bob Beyer has been linked to the Hornets for some time. Also like Corbin, Beyer has worked under Steve Clifford before, having been on staff with Charlotte for the 2013-14 season.

Beyer has been in coaching for nearly four decades, with his first foray coming in 1983 with the Alfred University Saxons during his senior year of college. This came in the aftermath of an injury the prior year that prematurely ended Beyer’s playing career. After several stops as an assistant at the college level, Beyer got his first NBA opportunity in 2003 with the Toronto Raptors. After a brief return to the college ranks from 2005-2007, Beyer has been in the NBA ever since. He has worked for eight different franchises including Charlotte, and most recently worked as an assistant with the New Orleans Pelicans in 2021.
