Kenny Gattison (1989-1995)
A product of Wilmington, North Carolina by way of Old Dominion University, Kenny Gattison joined the Hornets in the offseason of 1989 after two seasons with the Phoenix Suns.
While he never was a player who stuffed the stat sheet, his longevity at the position is what earns him the fifth spot on this list. His 403 games played, 390 of which came in the regular season, is the most in franchise history for a power forward. He was the third longest-tenured Charlotte player during the original iteration of the franchise behind only Dell Curry and Muggsy Bogues.
Always efficient from the floor, Gattison’s 52.9% field goal percentage while with Charlotte still stands as the franchise record. During his six seasons in Charlotte, Gattison shot above 50% from the floor on five occasions.
Gattison would join the Vancouver Grizzlies during the 1995 NBA expansion draft, spending one year in Vancouver before retiring.
For his Hornets career, Gattison averaged 8.3 points, 4.9 rebounds and 1.0 assists.
