Charlotte Hornets swingman Kelly Oubre Jr. has recently launched a new sneaker collaboration with Converse, available for retail at FootLocker.
Offically dubbed the “Run Star Hike”, Oubre’s shoes are also “Infinity” themed, a symbol that the Hornets forward has often used on social media and in his previous forays into fashion.
Fellow NBA player Shai Gilgeous-Alexander will also be releasing his own Converse sneaker in tandem with Oubre, as a part of Converse’s “Chase The Drip” sneaker line. Gilgeous-Alexander, who was originally drafted by the Hornets in 2018, has been signed with Converse for a little over a year. Oubre, meanwhile, has been with them since 2018.
Oubre’s newly released sneakers feature a suede upper. The shoes also feature OrthoLite cushioning technology in order to maximize comfort both for basketball wear and for casual wear. Studs can be found on the tongue and backstay and provide the finishing touches to the shoe. The sneakers also feature the “Infinity” symbol on the side, alluding to the overall theme of the sneaker.
The shoes are available now on FootLocker’s website. They retail for $110.
