Emeka Okafor (2004-2009)

Selected by Charlotte with the second pick in the 2004 NBA draft, Emeka Okafor became the first player selected by the expansion Bobcats franchise. He wasted no time making his presence felt, as he posted averages 15.1 points, 10.9 rebounds and 1.7 blocks en route to winning the NBA Rookie of the Year Award.

Okafor is one of the players most synonymous with the Bobcats era of Charlotte basketball. Amongst Bobcats-era players, Okafor ranks first in rebounds, first in blocks, first in field goal percentage, third in scoring, and fourth in games played.

Okafor is also the overall franchise leader in total rebounds, rebounds per game, and double-doubles. He averaged a double-double in each season during his Charlotte tenure and is one of only two Charlotte players to have a double-double average for their Charlotte career, joining Alonzo Mourning on that list.

For his Charlotte career, Okafor averaged 14.0 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.9 blocks in 330 appearances.
