Charlotte Hornets restricted free agent forward Miles Bridges was back in court on Friday in Los Angeles County, California as his ongoing felony domestic violence case continued.

For the fifth time, Bridges’ case was continued. His next scheduled appearance will be on Wednesday, October 12th.

Bridges’ previous court appearances on August 19th, September 7th, and September 16th also resulted in the continuation of his case.

The qualifying offer that the Hornets had extended to Bridges expired this week, meaning that he is still a restricted free agent but that the $7.9 million qualifying offer is no longer on the table.

The most recent continuation ensures that Bridges will be absent for all of Charlotte’s preseason slate, which concluded on October 12th in Philadelphia against the 76ers. The Hornets begin their regular season schedule on Wednesday, October 19th on the road against the San Antonio Spurs.
