Charlotte Hornets vs. Washington Wizards: Injury Report

Hornets: Cody Martin (knee tendinopathy), Kelly Oubre Jr. (left calf strain), and P.J. Washington (right ankle sprain) are all OUT.

Gordon Hayward will make his preseason debut after missing the first three games with a left knee contusion.

Wizards: Bradley Beal is OUT due to a non-covid illness. Deni Avdija groin is also OUT.

Corey Kispert (left ankle sprain) remains OUT.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Washington Wizards: Prediction

Both teams enter this contest in need of some positive momentum. With a combined record of 0-5 so far in the preseason, something will give in this contest. The absences of Martin, Oubre Jr., and Washington will be tough to overcome, but the Wizards will also be without their definitive best player in Beal. With the home crowd behind them and with reinforcements in the form of Hayward and Smith Jr., the Hornets will do just enough to come away with their first victory of the preseason.
