What went right for the Charlotte Hornets?

Historic night on offense

The offensive explosion began in the first quarter, as Charlotte put up a franchise record 51 points in the opening frame. The 51 points is also tied for the most by any NBA team in a quarter this season and is tied for the most in a first quarter in NBA history. The Hornets scored 84 points in the first half, the second-most in any half in franchise history. The 138 total points is tied for the seventh-most in any regulation game in team history.

A “Scary Terry” performance

Terry Rozier’s 39 points are a new season high both for him and for any Charlotte player. It is also Rozier’s fifth-highest scoring performance in his career and his highest point total since May 9th, 2021, when he scored a career high 43 points against the New Orleans Pelicans.
