Trade 2: Mason Plumlee to Phoenix

Phoenix receives Mason Plumlee, 2023 second-round pick

Charlotte receives Jae Crowder, 2023 first-round pick (lottery protected).

Mason Plumlee is quietly having one of the best stretches of his career. over his last fifteen games, Plumlee is scoring 15 points and 10 rebounds per contest while shooting about 75 percent from the field. Plumlee is a talented offensive player and a good playmaker from the center position. As a backup behind Deandre Ayton, he could fit in perfectly.

The Charlotte Hornets have been linked to Phoenix and Jae Crowder recently, and he would be a good trade for the right pieces. As a veteran in the last year of his contract, he could come in and play defense off the bench and be off the books next season. For Phoenix, a late first-round pick is much less valuable than it is to Charlotte.
