3 Bold Predictions for Charlotte Hornets vs. Minnesota Timberwolves
The Charlotte Hornets Win
For whatever reason, Charlotte owns this matchup. The Hornets are 5-1 in their last six games against Minnesota as their athleticism finds weaknesses in the Timberwolves’ defensive front.
Charlotte scored at least 115 points in eight of its last 10 games against Minnesota and I expect another big performance from LaMelo Ball & Co.
The Timberwolves are just 2-3 in their last five games as home favorites and I think the Hornets catch Minnesota sleeping this week.
LaMelo Ball Gets a Triple-Double
LaMelo was on fire prior to the All-Star break, notching a double-double in four straight games while securing the elusive triple-double in his final game before the rest. He’s averaged 23.9 points, 8.9 assists, and 8.3 rebounds per game this month and is a triple-double threat every time he steps on the floor.
The Timberwolves rank 27th in defensive rating (111.5) over their last 15 games and I expect a lackadaisical return to action. Expect a huge performance from one of the game’s most talented young players.
Terry Rozier Scores 30+ Points
Rozier is capable of catching fire at any moment and I think he’ll be rejuvenated yet hungry after the week off. In January, he averaged over 25 points per game while scoring at least 30 four times and should return to that form against a struggling Timberwolves defense.
He scored 30+ in two of his last five matchups with Minnesota. Trust Rozier to catch fire again and lead both teams in scoring.
If you want to bet on any of these, just make sure to take advantage of the DraftKings offer as well. It’s $150 just waiting for you.
