Kemba Walker

It makes sense to start with the franchise’s all-time leader in field goals made and points scored. He also had a 60-point game against the Philadelphia 76ers in an OT loss. There likely isn’t a better shot-maker that has put on a Hornets jersey. At his best, the four-time All-Star was a great shooter off-the-dribble. He leads the franchise in 3-point field goals made.

Lillard’s scoring tirade was full of three-point fireworks. It stands to reason that it would be necessary for whoever would attempt to score that many points would have to have that as a prominent weapon in the arsenal. It should be noted that Donovan Mitchell was 7/15 from deep in his 71-point performance earlier this season. Walker was also adept at getting to the line, his 2,871 free throw attempts are the most in Hornets history.

Being able to score with the clock stopped would be important. It would also help the scorer catch his breath. Scoring that many points isn’t just about skill, it’s about stamina. It takes a ton of energy to put up that many shots against a defense that is focused to make sure to limit good looks from the field. Walker’s ability to create contact would work perfectly to get him to the line, where he’s a career 84% converter.
