Glen Rice

Rice feels like one of those players that might get overlooked. He only played three seasons for the Hornets, but they were all All-Star years from Rice. He also only missed six games total from his tenure. Rice’s game might be considered a throwback, given his devastating effectiveness from mid-range. He shot FORTY-SEVEN percent on roughly five attempts per game in his second year with the Hornets. A player of his caliber now would put up twice that many attempts with efficiency numbers like his.

His career-high was 56 while he was with the Heat and 48 as a part of the Hornets. While that number is still 15 points south of the 71-point threshold, it’s important to remember that his 46.9/44.4/85.3 made him deadly lethal as a shooter. And his three-year tenure with the Hornets was likely his best three-season run at any time in his career. His career-high game average of 26.8 points was his second season in Charlotte.

Queen City Rice, with the modernization of his shot profile, could get it done.
