LaMelo Ball has improved his game every year of his career thus far. There is no doubt that Ball will continue to add more to his already deep bag as his career progresses.

The selection of Brandon Miller over Scoot Henderson in this year’s draft may have solidified the fact Ball is the face of the Hornets franchise. There is a ton of weight on the 21-year-old’s shoulders to help bring this franchise to success.

In order to do so, LaMelo cannot just be a good point guard in the NBA. He needs to be a phenomenal, complete basketball player.

Over the first three years of his career, LaMelo has improved greatly as a shooter and even a playmaker. It is clear that his obsession with the game will translate to improvement on the court. Although he was a replacement, LaMelo made the All-Star Game in only his second year in the NBA.

However, Ball still has some tendencies that need to be resolved in order for him to take the next step.

Let’s take a look at some of Ball’s bad habits that need to be fixed going forward.
