Could the Charlotte Hornets find themselves in a position to shake things up? This a proposition that the team should truly consider. Charlotte has a decent young core of players, but it is clearly an unfinished product. The Hornets are a team that will have their immediate success or failure come from the production of LaMelo Ball. It will be up to the front office to put the necessary players around him in order to find the level of success that they believe he is capable of, and that means considering trades that alter the makeup of their starting lineup.

There are two mock trade proposals with different angles attached to them that both involve the Charlotte Hornets. The proposed hypothetical trades have the Hornets moving a veteran guard to help out a potential contender out west, while the other has Charlotte picking up a player who is clearly on the outs with his current team. Both are intriguing options with their own sets of positives and negatives attached. Considering where the Hornets are in their competitive cycle, these are deals worth considering as Charlotte is still more than a year away from becoming a team slated to truly compete for a spot in the playoffs and not just the Play-In Tournament.
