3 Teams that could land former Hornets wing Kelly Oubre Jr.

The Golden State Warriors could add former Hornets wing Kelly Oubre Jr.
Oubre Jr. has a history with the Golden State Warriors, having spent the 2020-21 season with Steph Curry and co. Unfortunately for Oubre, Golden State failed to make the postseason that year and decided against retaining the wing long-term. Oubre Jr. then found himself suiting up for the Hornets, where he spent the last two seasons, once again failing to make the playoffs on either occasion.
However, the Warriors have been rebuilding their roster after falling short against the Los Angeles Lakers in last year’s playoffs. Currently, Golden State is lacking depth at the wing position. Oubre Jr. could be the type of bench scorer the Warriors need.
Again, Oubre Jr. would likely be signed on a short-term veteran minimum deal. However, his role in Golden State would almost certainly be off the bench. Nevertheless, when you team up with Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, and now Chris Paul, you will always have a chance of winning a ring.
If Oubre Jr. can excel in his role for the Warriors and show a commitment to fitting within the team’s offensive and defensive system, he could be fielding much larger contract offers next summer. Otherwise, he will likely find himself bouncing onto another contending team while trying to prove that he can be a valuable player to a winning organization.
