There is a world where the Charlotte Hornets could end up moving their fair share of players during the season. Should that happen, there are a few players who come to mind instantly. The staff over at Bleacher Report compiled a list for every team in the NBA, with the Hornets’ entry being handled by Dan Favale.

1. Gordon Hayward

Stop if you heard this one before. Gordon Hayward. The 13-year veteran is entering the fourth and final year of the contract he signed with the Hornets ahead of the 2020-2021 season. Trade rumors have been swirling about Hayward since that deal was signed, and it is no surprise to see them continue.

It should not take a lot for Charlotte to feel inclined to trade Hayward. This is a team who has their best days ahead of them. In order for the Hornets to increase their chances of future success, it may be in their best interest to clear minutes from a veteran who will not be here when the team becomes competitive again and distribute them to the younger players on their roster.
