What are the Hornets’ top three trade assets for 2023-24

3. Terry Rozier

Of the two veterans in Charlotte this season, Terry Rozier is the least likely of the two. Gordon Hayward is on an expiring deal, which makes it only a short-term commitment for an acquiring team. Rozier on the other hand, has two more guaranteed years, with $23.2 and $24.9 million, in addition to a partially guaranteed year in 2025-26 with a $26.6 million cap hit. The combination of multiple years and the amount of money owed may make it less likely for him to be moved.

Now, that is not to say that Rozier is unmovable because that is clearly not the case. There are going to be teams interested in his services, considering he is still a productive player and someone who can knock down his fair share of threes. What it would come down to is trade packages. Charlotte may not get anything spectacular, but they should be able to get something worthwhile enough to agree to a trade.
