As the Charlotte Hornets prepare for the 2024-25 regular season, Summer League will provide them with a crucial opportunity to get a look at young talent.
Rookie Frenchman Tidjane Salaun will highlight a team full of undrafted rookies and other youngsters hoping to earn their chance at the NBA level.
Here’s a look at the full Hornets 2024 Summer League roster.
Tidjane Salaun
Team last season: Cholet Basket (France) | Position: Forward
Draft year: 2024 | Age: 18 years old
Height: 6-foot-9 | Weight: 207 lbs
As noted, Salaun will headline this team. The Hornets picked him with the No. 6 pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, and he is expected to be a big part of their future moving forward.
Brandon Miller
Team last season: Charlotte Hornets | Position: Forward
Draft year: 2023 | Age: 21 years old
Height: 6-foot-7 | Weight: 200 lbs
After a successful rookie season with the Hornets, it’s a bit surprising that Brandon Miller is still going to play in Summer League this year, but he will certainly make things exciting. Maybe he’ll only play in a game or two, but he’ll be there and is on the roster.
KJ Simpson
Team last season: Colorado | Position: Guard
Draft year: 2024 | Age: 21 years old
Height: 6-foot-2 | Weight: 189 lbs
Charlotte selected KJ Simpson out of Colorado in the second round, but unfortunately, a hamstring injury that he suffered during the pre-draft process will keep him sidelined for all of Summer League.
Bryce McGowens
Team last season: Charlotte Hornets | Position: Wing
Draft year: 2022 | Age: 21 years old
Height: 6-foot-6 | Weight: 175 lbs
In his second NBA season with the Hornets, Bryce McGowens was more efficient, but he still didn’t play much. He’ll still have something to prove in Summer League.
