4. Obi Toppin

Just like Jalen Smith, the Indiana Pacers will probably try their best to keep Obi Toppin around, but if the Charlotte Hornets give him their entire MLE, maybe they could get the Pacers to back off.

Toppin improved mightily as a three-point shooter this past year in Indiana, even if it was on low volume, and that would help him be a perfect fit with the Hornets.

Combine that three-point production with his ability to act as an elite lob threat next to LaMelo Ball, and he would be a perfect offensive fit in Charlotte.

Obviously, there are some defensive concerns when it comes to Toppin, but he would still be a great get for the Hornets.

5. Royce O’Neale

As the Phoenix Suns deal with all the financial issues that come with having Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal on the roster at the same time, they will likely do everything they can to re-sign Royce O’Neale.

However, if they are unable to keep him around, then he’s the exact type of player the Hornets should be drooling over. He’s a great veteran presence and always shows up on both ends of the court.

Having O’Neale’s intensity around, along with his three-point shooting and playmaking on the offensive end, would give Charlotte a huge boost in the starting lineup.
