2. Royce O’Neale
The Phoenix Suns just wrapped up an extremely disappointing season that saw them get swept in the first round of the playoffs by Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Now, they find themselves in a terrible financial spot, as Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal make up the large majority of their cap books, leaving them with little room to make moves.
Bringing back Royce O’Neale should be their top priority, as they don’t have many other options, but the Charlotte Hornets should definitely look to steal him away.
O’Neale does a little bit of everything on the court. He can shoot the three ball, he’s an underrated passer for his position, and he can rebound when he needs to.
But perhaps the most important thing O’Neale would bring to the table in Charlotte would be his defensive play. O’Neale would be able to step in and take on some of the top defensive matchups for Charlotte.
The 30-year-old forward probably won’t have a huge market in free agency, so if the Hornets feel strongly about adding him to the mix, they could be one of the only bidders.
O’Neale’s all-around playstyle at the power forward position would fit in seamlessly with the Hornets.
