5 Veteran power forwards the Hornets need to target in free agency

3. Taurean Prince
The Los Angeles Lakers had a tough season this year, making the playoffs through the Play-In Tournament but getting bounced by the Denver Nuggets in the first round in a five-game series.
They brought in Taurean Prince this past offseason, and he played well in the role he carved out, starting in 49 of the 78 games he appeared in for the Lakers.
Prince can play the three or the four, and with his three-point shooting, he would make a great addition to the Charlotte Hornets’ rotation, potentially even as a spot starter.
As the Hornets look to build out their rotation around LaMelo Ball, adding defense and three-point shooting should be the two top priorities. Prince brings a bit of both of those things to the table.
He’s not going to be able to guard big guys at the four, but most teams aren’t running a ton of size at the power forward position. Prince would be able to hang in there with most threes and fours around the league.
Prince shot 39.6% from three-point range with the Lakers this past season while taking 4.6 attempts per contest. If he can bring that sort of volume and efficiency to the Hornets lineup, it would be a huge win for Charlotte.
