Saturday night, all eyes will turn to Indianapolis for the NBA’s night of fun, featuring the Skill Challenge, 3-Point Contest, and Slam Dunk Contest. It should be a fun night and event for the NBA and its fans, but the evening will be noticeably lacking for the Charlotte Hornets.

It’s not extremely surprising that the Hornets had no players selected for any of these events, but it doesn’t mean they don’t have several worthy players. For that matter, there probably isn’t a team in the NBA that doesn’t have a bevy of qualified players for these events.

But the league is always going to focus on star power, rewarding players who are all-stars (the Hornets have none this year), and doing whatever they think will drive the most viewership. It’s fairly understandable why that doesn’t involve any Hornets players at the moment.

The Hornets do have past participants, like Miles Bridges in the dunk contest, and plenty of future hopefuls, possibly for multiple events, like Brandon Miller and LaMelo Ball. That got me to thinking, what would an all-star Saturday night look like if it was just Hornets players?

Here’s a look at exactly what each event might look like. For all we know, this could be going on tonight inside Spectrum Center; I know I’d watch, at least.
