4. Signing Al Jefferson

Bully on the low block, Al Jefferson was signed by Cho in 2013. Regarded as the highest-profile free agent to ever sign in Charlotte, Big Al inked a three-year, $41-million dollar deal to come to the Queen City. Jefferson appeared in two playoff series with the Hornets and was selected to the

Jefferson appeared in two playoff series with the Hornets and was selected to the All-NBA Third Team in his first season with the team.

The expiration of Jefferson’s contract perfectly coincided with the end of his prime. Cho wrote the contract brilliantly for the Hornets, bringing in the talent required for Charlotte to make the playoffs, but not crippling the team in the long haul.
