Charlotte Hornets guarantee Treveon Graham’s contract for the rest of the season
Treveon Graham’s partially guaranteed deal with the Charlotte Hornets for this season has now become fully guaranteed.
In a move that should surprise no one, the Charlotte Hornets chose not to waive Treveon Graham before the January 10th deadline. This means that his contract for the remainder of the 2017-18 season became fully guaranteed. (BasketballInsiders.com) Rick Bonnell of the Charlotte Observer deemed the move “a no-brainer.”
Graham will make all of his $1.3 million salary for this year. His contract officially became fully guaranteed on Wednesday, January 10th but the Hornets would’ve needed to waive him by January 7th in order to not fully guarantee his deal.
The next deadline for Treveon will be this summer as Charlotte will have until June 29th to offer him a qualifying offer before free agency. That qualifying offer would be worth $1.8 million if the team decides to extend that offer.
