SF: Dwayne Bacon

Stats: 5 games, 18.2 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 2.0 APG, 1.2 SPG, 40% FG

Strengths: Offensive Versatility

There is no question if Bacon did enough on the offensive end. The gym rat Bacon had great stats all around. He was always one of the teams top scorers and was very consistent all summer long.

It was obvious Bacon was one of the best players on the squad as he led the team with 31 minutes a game. When you are watching the games you can tell how much of a leader he is being. I would give Bacon the Hornet’s Summer League MVP.

Weaknesses: Shot Selection

I know you may be questioning this because of his strength but hear me out. Bacon is a great offensive asset but if his shot selection was better, this would make him a scarier player. He only shot 40% from the field in summer league. Many times he doesn’t find the open man or he doesn’t wait for an open shot.

This causes him to force many shots which have a low percentage of going in. His passing is very skilled but he could average more assists if he would look for the open man instead of taking a low-quality shot. This weakness isn’t something major to worry about and should be very easy to fix.
