4. Devonte’ Graham

23-years old

Charlotte traded up in the second round of the 2018 NBA Draft to the player they wanted in Devonte’ with the 34th overall pick. Graham has only played in three summer league games for the Hornets but he already looks like the real deal. Graham will probably be the team’s backup point guard of the future.

Although he is already 23-years old and is likely close to being a finished product, the rookie looks like a promising prospect who could be an important player for Charlotte in the near future. They’ve been searching for a quality backup point guard since Jeremy Lin left and they may have finally found his replacement when they drafted Graham.

After an accomplished college career, the 6’2 point guard will look to replicate his success in the NBA. It’s unclear how good he will actually be at the professional level but based on summer league (which should always be taken with a grain of salt), he appears to be a steal of a pick for Charlotte. The Hornets haven’t had much success in the second round in past years but Dwyane, Devonte’, and Arnoldas could change that trend.

Going forward, Devonte’ looks to be a solid option off of the bench behind Kemba Walker.
