Charlotte Hornets: 5 reasons to be excited for 2019

1. Continued growth

For a lot of people, a new year means a new opportunity to better yourself and improve in certain areas. That’s the case in sports too, and the Charlotte Hornets are a team that could use a bit of a fresh start.

While the new year won’t simply wipe away the mistakes they have made throughout this season, it’s a good way to think of it as a new opportunity. The opportunity to play the best brand of basketball possible and have a winning season.

The team is firmly in the mix for the playoffs and that’s important. At the end of the day, winning is everything and become a consistent winning program will benefit everyone. It will make the fans happy, the players happy and could attract free agents.

If this team manages to play to their potential, then I don’t see why they can’t make the playoffs. They have a good mix of veterans and young talent, but they’re going to need to continue to grow as a unit if they want to be a winning team.

Let’s hope that 2019 is a successful year for the Charlotte Hornets. The last two years have been poor, but this year feels different. The time is now for the Hornets to make some noise.
