Kemba Walker becomes all-time leading scorer

The Charlotte Hornets lost to the Cleveland Cavaliers in a game on March 28th 2018. It was a special loss, though. Emotions were running high and the fans were giving Kemba Walker a standing ovation for becoming the Hornets all-time leading scorer, passing Dell Curry.

It was truly an incredible accomplishment, and a moment that Hornets fans won’t soon forget. Walker was congratulated by his teammates and by the Cavaliers players right after the game, and he went on to deliver an emotional walk-off interview.

With tears in his eyes and having to take a moment to process everything, you couldn’t help but feeling emotional yourself. This man has given it his all for the Charlotte Hornets. Loyalty isn’t as important to some players in today’s NBA, but Kemba has been incredibly loyal to the franchise and deserves all of his individual accomplishments.

Of course, he’d rather win games, and maybe that will come. Walker is arguably the best player to ever wear a Charlotte Hornets jersey and his legend is growing more and more each day. This would probably be the best moment of 2018, in my opinion.

As Eric Collins said, “The Queen City has a new king.”
