With the 2019-20 NBA Season suspended indefinitely, the Charlotte Hornets’ draft position (should the draft occur as scheduled) appears to be set in place.
The Charlotte Hornets currently sit in the 8th position in the lottery with their 23-42 record. If no games are played before the draft, the Hornets would have a 6% chance to earn the first pick of the draft.

This may not seem like a high chance, but keep in mind, the New Orleans Pelicans were given the first pick in 2019 with the same odds.
The NBA changed the lottery odds before the 2019 draft to prevent tanking, giving the three teams with the worst records only a 14% chance each to earn the pick.
The most likely picks for the Hornets under the new format are as follows: 8, 9, 4, 3, 10, 2, 1, 11, and 12, with picks 5, 6, 7, 13, and 14 each impossible.
With these odds, this means the Hornets will have a pick either at the beginning or middle of the lottery. Here are five potential draft picks that would best fit on the Hornets, divided into high-end for picks 1-4 and lower-end for picks 8-12.
